Professional Development Hub - Terms and Conditions
1. General
- These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the booking and attendance of professional development events offered by Central Kids.
- By registering for an event, attendees agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Approval and attendance
- Attendees must seek approval from their line manager before registering for any event.
- Attendees are responsible for ensuring their availability for the full duration of the event. If an unexpected situation arises that is beyond your control, please inform the organiser as soon as possible.
- Failure to obtain managerial approval may result in cancellation of the registration.
3. Cancellations and no-shows
- In the event of an attendee's unavailability e.g. sickness or other unexpected events, it’s the responsibility of the attendee to advise the organisers soon as reasonably practicable.
- Frequent last-minute cancellations or no-shows might affect your ability to register for future events, so please try your best to attend if you've signed up.
4. Substitute attendees
- In the event of an attendee's unavailability, a substitute attendee may attend, provided they meet the event criteria and have obtained prior approval from their line manager.
- Any substitutions must be communicated to the event organiser in writing at least three working days before the event.
5. Attendance expectations
- Attendees are encouraged to participate fully in all sessions to get the most out of the event.
- Attendees must arrive on time and stay for the entire event. There may be times when staying for the entire event may not be possible, please ensure that the organiser is aware of this as soon as possible.
6. Cover arrangements for teaching kaimahi
- Attendees who are teaching kaimahi are responsible for ensuring that their absence does not impact the required teacher-to-child ratios within their service.
- Appropriate cover arrangements must be proactively booked in advance to not interfere with attendance at the event.
7. Event changes and cancellations by Central Kids
- Central Kids reserves the right to reschedule or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to facilitator availability or insufficient registrations.
- Attendees will be notified of any changes via email at the earliest opportunity.
- In the event of cancellation, Central Kids will endeavour to reschedule or provide alternative training opportunities if necessary.
8. Data protection and privacy
- Attendee personal information will be collected and processed in accordance with Central Kids' Privacy Policy.
- Information provided during registration will be used solely for event management purposes.

- Any health concerns or accessibility needs should be communicated to the event organiser in advance.
10. Code of conduct
- Attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully during all events.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the event and potential exclusion from future events.
